Not having a generational background in farming or butchery, our owner decided to start at the source by engaging various farmers, and industry specialists, and asking for help from local professionals. The result is an old-school feeling butcher shop nestled in the Hollin Hall shopping center. The Cut Butchery offers a wide variety of meat, seafood, and provisions from local partners. Our focus is on customer service as well as educating our customers on the variety of options we offer. On the morning of his birthday, our owner decided he wanted to grill something special for his family for dinner. As a local living in Alexandria south of Old Town, he had limited options. He was also concerned about the quality of the meat, he was feeding his two small children. What if there was a local establishment that could provide high-quality, clean, and local products? Could that help not only his family but the whole community? That led him on a journey of education and determination to create The Cut Butchery.
